Former Radio New Zealand agriculture reporter, Alexa Cook, has won a major international agricultural journalism award, taking first place in the IFAJ Rabobank Star Prize for digital broadcast for her item 'Mustering Courage'.
Alexa was also runner-up in the broadcast audio section for her item 'A High Country Way of Life' and was given a special commendation by the judges for being in the top three in the three sections of the broadcast awards.
She won several awards in the NZ Guild Journalism Awards last year with these same stories.
The awards were announced at the IFAJ Congress in Wageningen, The Netherlands on 11 July.
