The future of agricultural journalism and media in New Zealand under discussion at Pāmu on 28 May

Posted: 19-May-2024

The New Zealand Guild of Agriculture Journalists and Communicators' key objective is to have agriculture recognised for the major role it plays in New Zealand's export-oriented economy. For over 60 years we’ve supported our members to bring attention to stores and issues from across the sector.

We have a firm interest in shoring up our sector and media businesses to be able to meet the challenges.

We're pleased to announce a roundtable discussion, hosted by Pāmu, to focus on the changing landscape of media and journalism, the sustainability of the agricultural journalism sector, and the needs of our sector to remain relevant.

The ultimate aim of this roundtable is to identify some of the key actions we need to take either individually or collectively.

Moderated by Carol Styles, participants in the panel include business owners, journalism academics, editors and others who have a unique view of the current and emerging threats, and ideas for how we can respond.

Time and date: 13:30-15:30 on Tuesday 28 May 2024
